@Orchard LLC has an immediate opening to support a well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sector to identify an experienced Construction Manager to support their government contract in Mountain Home AFB, ID.
If you are an experienced Construction manager with expertise in reviewing the design-builder's submittals and observing and documenting their work progress, then our client has a challenge for you.
The period of Performance could be more than a year with potential extension beyond the said period and a strong possibility for an FTE opportunity after 6 months on the contract.
Description:
Our client is working on behalf of a federal customer to intends to design and install EVSE, primarily dual port chargers, and associated infrastructure at three Air Force Bases / Fields as part of design build separate contracts.
The construction manager shall be working in collaboration with the entire Project Delivery Team, including but not limited to the government client executives, and design-build contractors.
The CM shall understand and fully comply with the principles of Federal contracting, including contract administration in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the General Services Administration Acquisition Manual (GSAM), and the Public Buildings Services acquisition policy.
The CM shall be located locally and travel, in addition to a rental car, will not be allowed.
Responsibilities:
Attending A/E design meetings as necessary and prepare meeting minutes.
Verify design submissions for constructability and comply with the design-build contract (four submittals of drawings, specifications, etc.
).
Review and comment on the project's construction work sequence plan, emphasizing constructability and logistics issues.
Organize project file and folder structure.
Schedule and conduct weekly progress meetings and provide written minutes of meetings.
Review the design-builder's progress schedule.
Review Design-Builder's submittals and/or shop drawings.
Maintain site records on the design-builder's compliance with labor standards requirements of the construction contract(s).
Participate and support in Commissioning.
Skills/Experience Required:
A bachelor's with at least 7 years of experience or an associate degree with at least 10 years of experience in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited university.
Proven work experience in construction management, electrical, and civil engineering construction is required.
Experience in EV charging station installation is a plus.
Experience working on Federal projects is a plus.
